MANAGEMENT AT SCQF LEVEL 7
About this SVQ:
This is aimed at supervisors and first line managers who have some responsibility for managing budgets, allocating work to team members, colleagues or contractors, achieving specific results and for some decision making. It aims to provide learners with an opportunity to develop management performance, become more effective and to progress within their management roles.
The Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Management at SCQF level 7 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job-related skills in their particular area of work and expertise. It has been developed to support those working as first line managers, section managers, assistant managers, trainee managers, senior supervisors, and those working in a range of other management positions.
This qualification takes 9-12 months to complete.
This Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) is awarded by Qualifications Scotland and consists of mandatory units and optional units. The range of optional units to choose from, enables the qualification to be tailored to meet both business requirements and the employees specific areas of development.

- Lead Your Team
- Manage People’s Performance at Work
- Provide Healthy, Safe, Secure and Productive Working Environments and Practices
The Process:
The learner will work towards building their e-portfolio with full support being provided by Rewards throughout the qualification, visiting the workplace to meet with the learner. Progress will be reviewed at visits and we will seek the managers input and feedback as part of this. The e-portfolio allows the candidate to easily submit work and communicate with their assessor remotely, in between meetings.
