Who is this qualification for?


Suitable for managers looking to develop new management skills to lead their team and gain an insight into their leadership qualities. An essential part of the programme is the 360° feedback tool which is extremely beneficial to the learner.

This qualification has 2 units
  • 1. Understanding the Management Role to Improve Management Performance
    • Understand the specific responsibilities of middle managers in enabling an organisation to achieve its goals
    • Understand how communication and interpersonal skills affect managerial performance in the workplace
    • Be able to assess personal development opportunities to improve own managerial performance
  • 2. Management Communication
    • Understand the importance of effective communication in management in terms of tone, language and level of formality
    • Be able to develop effective communication skills as a reflective manager

Delivery

Delivered online over 5 sessions from 9.30am-12.30pm. Joining instructions will be sent to you prior to the course starting.

This qualification is approved for up to £200 ITA funding depending on eligibility.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Aged 16 or over
  • Not in education or involved in any other SDS funded programme
  • Unemployed and looking to get back into work
  • Currently employed and earning less than £22,000 per year
  • Resident in Scotland
