Communication: Impact & Influencing
Effective communication, influencing and negotiation are essential business skills. This course will enable you to be more an effective communicator, and deal with a variety of colleagues/clients.
Course Content
- Understanding how relationships affect the way in which we communicate
- Sources of power we can use when we want to influence
- Importance of body language
- Develop ways to communicate purposefully
- Increased self-awareness of what they do that works and doesn’t work when they are communicating with others
- What makes an effective negotiator?
- Styles of negotiation
- Defining a wise agreement
- Approaches to conflict and how to deal with “difficult” people
Course Activities
Individual and group work. Facilitated discussions with trainer. Action planning to finish the course to ensure learning is implemented in the workplace.
